Our Projects
MIRI places a strong emphasis on actionable research that influences policymaking and advocacy movements. By focusing on the critical areas affecting minority communities, our work aspires to drive meaningful change. Concretely, our work concerns public policy research, capacity building, networking and collaboration, communications and advocacy, and charity.
We have extensive experience in providing formal and informal education to youth and the general public, from minority and majority backgrounds, based on an intercultural approach since 2023.

The Futures Literacy for Anticipatory Societies – FLARE Action
Minority Issues Research Institute (MIRI) was a co-applicant for the awarded project CA25141 - Futures Literacy for Anticipatory Societies – Strengthening Foresight Systems Across Europe (FLARE).
The Futures Literacy for Anticipatory Societies – FLARE Action aims to strengthen Europe’s collective capacity to engage with uncertainty, complexity, and transformation by embedding Futures Literacy (FL) across education, governance, and innovation. In response to global crises, fragmented foresight practices, and uneven anticipatory capacity, FLARE establishes a four-year, pan-European COST network that unites researchers, educators, policymakers, and practitioners to co-create shared frameworks, tools, and indicators for futures-oriented learning and decision-making.
Duration of the project: from 19.10.2026 to18.10.2030.
